WISE and MVV are honored to be partners of The Asian Development Bank to implement a special COVID-19 business counseling and training programme for 500 women-led small and medium-sized enterprises (WSMEs) in Vietnam. The program is under the framework of the non-refundable aid project “COVID-19 Relief for Women-Led Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises” that the Asia Development Bank and State Bank of Vietnam has just signed the grant agreement on December 22nd 2020.
With WISE’s wide network and strong experience of supporting women startups and entrepreneurs in Vietnam, combined with MVV’s training expertise, the programme will focus on providing tools to WSMEs to improve their capacity management capacity and skillsets to run their businesses successfully during the COVID-19 pandemic. It will also provide them training in various business aspects, financial advisory services, and technical knowledge to mitigate the impact of the economic downturn.
The programme includes:
– 12 training modules, focusing on business and financial knowledge, building a business plan, action planning in HR management, operating costs management, and re-engineering products and customer service, among others. All are expected to help enterprises respond to the COVID-19 situation effectively.
– One-to-one online consultation via Consultant Anywhere (CA) platform by experts with long experience in the fields of crisis management; branding and communication strategy; financial accounting, cash flow management; business management and operation; corporate restructuring; human resource management and development; etc.
The project will contribute to a more resilient economic environment in Vietnam by increasing the resilience of COVID-affected WSMEs. As a result, WSMEs are expected to increase revenue, save jobs and stay afloat. The project will also help us understand challenges faced by WSMEs in crisis and effectively support them in the future.
