Tu Thu Hien is the Founder and CEO of the non-profit social enterprise Women’s Initiative for Startups and Entrepreneurship (WISE). Since launching in 2017, she has led the development of WISE’s program portfolio to support female-led startups in Vietnam by offering business development support to women and connecting them with the resources they need to innovate. Tu Thu Hien is the Founder and CEO of the non-profit social enterprise Women’s Initiative for Startups and Entrepreneurship (WISE). Since launching in 2017, she has led the development of WISE’s program portfolio to support female-led startups in Vietnam by offering business development support to women and connecting them with the resources they need to innovate. Hien is passionate about strengthening women’s ability to succeed in the startup and entrepreneurship ecosystem and wants to see women-led businesses thrive. Prior to this role, Hien was the Country Manager for the Mekong Business Initiative– a program supported by the Asian Development Bank and the Government of Australia. Here, she advocated for the private sector during the development of the ‘Small and Medium Enterprises Support Law’ in Vietnam, resulting in two articles that directly supported women business owners. Hien holds a Master of International Development Policy (2005) from Duke University and a Bachelor of Economics (1999) from the University of Foreign Trade in Hanoi. She began her career as a TV Reporter and Editor for Vietnam Television in 1998, followed by obtaining diverse experience in government, international development, the private sector, and even broadcast journalism.

Diep is the Co-Founder and COO of the Women’s Initiative for Startups and Entrepreneurship (WISE). She works closely with the CEO and rest of the team to support women startups in Vietnam. Diep is the Co-Founder and COO of the Women’s Initiative for Startups and Entrepreneurship (WISE). She works closely with the CEO and rest of the team to support women startups in Vietnam. Diep is very passionate about promoting women’s innovation and entrepreneurship. Before joining WISE, Diep was the Deputy Country Manager of Vietnam for the Mekong Business Initiative (MBI). In this role, Diep helped women’s business associations in Vietnam by advocating for better support and piloting new solutions to facilitate women-owned businesses' access to finance. In addition, Diep has worked as a Governance Consultant for the World Bank Office in Vietnam. In this capacity, she promoted and advocated for transparency and accountability in Vietnamese institutions. Prior to this, she gained eight years of experience working as a trade policy officer in the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) and was involved in Vietnam's WTO Accession negotiations. Diep holds a Master of International Economics (2004) from the University of Birmingham in the UK under the Chevening Scholarship program, and a Bachelor of Economics (1999) from the University of Foreign Trade in Hanoi. She began her career as a TV Reporter and Editor for Vietnam Television in 1998 but has a diverse background spanning involvement in the private sector, government, and international development.

Ms. Tran Thu Thuy is a Communications specialist and senior program manager with more than 15 years of experience working at international and Vietnamese NGOs and nonprofits such as PATH-US and Marie-Stopes International Vietnam. Ms. Thuy is involved in the design and implementation of  community support projects with a focus on women and vulnerable groups. Ms. Thuy graduated from the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam and holds a master's degree in Business Administration. She is a creative person and is enthusiastic about her work. Ms. Thuy strongly believes in the development potential of women and always tries her best to promote gender equality in order to contribute to the progressive advancement of women.

Trang graduated with a Bachelor of Law - Faculty of Law, from Hanoi National University and a Master of International Law - from Lyon University, France. Trang has 5 years of experience working at international NGOs such as ChildFund Australia, ActionAid, and ASMAE, with different roles of M&E management, project management, and partnership development. Currently, Trang is in charge of managing different programs focusing on supporting female start-ups and female-owned small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to improve capacity, obtain investment and transition into the international market.

Pham Bich Hong graduated from the Faculty of Economics, at the National Economics University. Hong has over 15 years of experience in managing commercial and development projects, conducting business development and marketing, as well as administrative management. Hong has participated in training projects for UN Women, UNDP, ADB and equipment supply projects for the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of National Defense.

Thu Trang graduated with a major in English from Thang Long University. Prior to joining WISE, Trang had 2 years of experience supporting projects on improving public health in Asia and Africa sponsored by UNICEF, Gavi and the World Health Organization (WHO). Currently, Trang is in charge of coordinating and implementing projects on supporting female-owned small and medium-sized businesses with the goal of improving business skills and knowledge so that women become more confident when branching out into international markets.

Van graduated with a Bachelor of Law from Hanoi Law University in 2020. With a passion for tourism and food, Van is also an amateur guide for English-speaking tourists to discover food tours in Hanoi. Before joining the WISE team, Van taught English freely and provided administrative support at Uu Viet Group Co., Ltd- a Korean investment consulting company.

Ms. Tran Thi Thu Thuy graduated with a Bachelor of Banking and Finance of the National Economics University and holds the Certificate of Chief Accountant from the Academy of Finance. Currently, Ms. Thuy is working at WISE as Chief Accountant, is responsible for managing the company's finance. Prior to joining WISE, Ms. Thuy had more than 15 years of experience working many different accounting roles including Tax Accountant, General Accountant, Project Accountant of various professions.
