On September 27th, WISE – the Women’s Initiative for Startups and Entrepreneurship, in collaboration with UN Women Vietnam, successfully hosted an impressive Demo Day event! At this event, 11 women-owned businesses from the GRP Accelerator Program – WE RISE Together officially graduated and shone with remarkable product presentations in front of potential buyers.
Not only did the event provide opportunities to connect with major restaurants and hotels, but it also contributed to promoting gender-responsive procurement practices, enabling women-led businesses to engage more deeply in the service industry’s supply chain.
During the panel discussion “Developing a Sustainable Supply Chain: Challenges & Solutions,” industry leaders such as Marriott International, Wink Hotels, Central Retail (BigC), and Bếp Hoa shared valuable insights on building sustainable supply chains, emphasizing that thorough preparation of capability profiles and product quality is the key for women entrepreneurs to succeed in these supply chains.
At the end of the event, the 1-1 connection session between women suppliers and buyers created promising cooperation opportunities, marking the first step in spreading diverse and gender-responsive procurement practices.
Let’s continue to support women entrepreneurs on their journey toward sustainable development!
