WISE and MVV are honored to be partners of the Asian Development Bank to conduct a special COVID-19 business training and consulting program for 500 women-led small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Vietnam.
The program is within the framework of the grant project “Covid-19 Relief for Women-led Small and Medium-sized Enterprises” which the Asian Development Bank and the State Bank of Vietnam Vietnam has just signed an aid agreement on December 22, 2020.
With WISE’s extensive network and experience in supporting women to start and run businesses in Vietnam, combined with MVV’s training expertise, the program will focus on providing tools to build capacity. and management skillsets for female SME owners to run their businesses successfully during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The program will also train them on topics around corporate governance, financial advisory services and technical knowledge to mitigate the impact of the economic downturn.
The training program consists of 12 modules, focusing on business and financial literacy, business plan development, action planning in human resource management, operational cost management, redesign products and customer service, etc.
The program is expected to help businesses respond effectively to COVID-19, contributing to a more sustainable economic environment in Vietnam by increasing the resilience of WSMEs affected by COVID. As a result, WSMEs are expected to increase revenue, create more jobs and sustainably develop.
The project will also help policymakers and support programs understand the challenges faced by female SME owners during the crisis and support them effectively in the future.
