On May 31st 2019, The People’s Committee of Son La province has officially approved the proposal of “Support Women Start-ups and Entrepreneurs in Son La” project of Women’s Initiative for Start-ups and Entrepreneurship (WISE). This is a part of GREAT Project “Gender Responsive Equitable Agriculture and Tourism” in Lao Cai and Son La provinces (funded by Australian Aid), which helps to enhance the lives of women, their families and local communities in north-west Vietnam and will also contribute to higher productivity and economic growth in the region.
The project is going to deliver business incubation and acceleration activities for 150 ethnic minority women in Son La province and generating a community of ethnic minority women business and connecting them with the wider network of women entrepreneurs.
Being implemented until the end of September 2021, key activities will be business skill training, business incubation and acceleration, market connection and trade promotion, access to finance, etc.
